download the sony ericsson update service(SEUS) from

and follow the steps to flash ur phone
i dont know about the debranding

I looked around the Sony Ericsson sites for the US, United Kingdom and Romania expecting to find an answer but all I could find was info for the W580i. I suspect the W580 is an earlier model and manufacturer discontinued. You might try the link below and look at the different country sites and see if you can find them or you might try calling their Customer Support @ 866-766-9374 for the US or 08705 23 7237 for the United Kingdom.

You could check out Cnet's site to see if they have info or perhaps ask a sales rep at AT&T or Verizon or whoever sells these phones.

If you want to add music, pictures, and possibly video (which requires some kind of a converter so the phone can recognize and play the video), then you need to order a memory card. I use the 8 GB Sandisk Mobile Ultra M2 memory card. It has like a ton of memory for my music and still has room! If you get a memory card, you need to buy a card reader as well. The reader allows the card to be hooked into your computer (via a USB drive) so you can put music on it. I don't know any other way to hook the phone to the computer, unless there's some USB cable you have to buy separately from the phone (which probably doesn't exist).

It should say in the manual, but default codes are usually something simple. Try 1234 or 1111
